• Not a guarantee of availability. Books go out of print and editions change. We link to listings rather than promising anything about them.
• Not a price quote. We publish no prices. The retailer's listing is the only authority on what something costs today.
• Not a review based on reading. We say plainly on every roundup that we have not read every book we recommend. The method is published.

We take accuracy seriously: publication data comes from a public library catalog rather than from memory, fields the catalog cannot supply are left blank, and disputed claims are flagged as disputed.

That said, catalogs contain errors, editions vary, and things change after publication. If you find a mistake, tell us — corrections are answered ahead of everything else and fixed as soon as we can verify them.
